Just go to limewire.com and it will help you through the rest. There is one on there that you don't have to pay for, I did this myself and had no clue but it is pretty helpful that site. I sure hope this helps you out, also we have had this site for a long time and it will let you know if a song you are trying to download has a virus before you download it. That way your computer won't get it.

First I recommend just paying for the downloads. Free p2p downloading can be hazardous to your PC! You have no way of knowing who you are downloading from and what they have on their computer. Limewire it effectively a virus itself. I say no Limewire. Morpheus has a version you can pay a 1 time fee for and it is fast and has an incredible amount of music. My number 1 choice is iTunes. iTunes is by far the safest. It is a pay site, but worth it as you know it is not contaminated with virus' or anything else malicious.

Well, I can tell you one thing, I use iTunes for down loading videos and

ECT, but I have never downloaded anything but music to my iPod60GB Video.

I am still learning how to use iTunes.

I found out the hard way that, I can't download

Videos from the ones I own to my, 60GB iPod.

The DVD's that are not on iTunes will not download.

You have to subscribe to iTunes, so you download movies, games,

Music, ECT.

I know that in the first place, I did not want to subscribe, but I had

No choose, so I couldn't get to download any, movies, music, ECT

In the first place. Unless, there may be another way.

I still think my 60GB iPod is a great MP3 player

I hope this is an ok answer?

The only safe sites to download music are the ones you pay for.

This way, you stand a far better chance of not getting a virus.

There are "free" peer to peer sites (such as Limewire) that you can use - but any downloads from such sites are illegal because of piracy - despite millions of people using them.

If you decide to use such a free site, then I would strongly suggest you do not share your My Music folder with anyone and always scan for viruses before you open any file.

Well most legal sites are safe, such as ipod tunes etc.., but with p2p (pier to pier) software it is a bit of a minefield as there are many sites not to be trusted. i would recommend, shareaza, morpheus and Ares, these programs dont give you viruses, but you have to be careful what you download off them, always check if there is a valid source, and check that the file size matches the genre of download you are getting. to get these sites which i've just use type in the sources i have mentioned. and get rid of limewire asap as it is strewn with viruses. hope this helps.

http://www.limewire.com/ is the most used free file sharing site. make sure you have anti virus running before swapping any files. the free edition of avg available from http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ does a good job. once you have installed limewire do a search for limewire pro. then install this and delete the original. pro is faster.

Hahahaha...you can't lose your bank account info and so on due to some songs, but you can lose them because you are stupid! On topic now, you don't have to buy music, or to get it the illegal way either. Just go to Shoutcast, pick your genre, and there are tons of radio stations available. Pick one, load in into your media player, and you can start the party!

I've heard Limewire can have viruses. Stick with the most well known, either itunes or Napster. I've used Napster with no problems.
