i have a zune, and my dad/sister has a ipod
what would be the best kind to buy with the software of itunes and the zune network already installed in my computer?

Ivan is right...buy her a shuffle. The thing is that iTunes only works with ipods and im pretty sure that the Zune marketplace will only work with your Zune. So yeah, buy her a shuffle.
