To correct the first guy, if you are runnign two or more applications it would be the Duo, but if you are running one it would be the Duo. The new processors are simply faster than the old ones, even if you are only running one thing at a time.

If you are running just window the Pentium 4 if you are running two I the Intel duo. I would go with the duo, you will always be running more then one application.
