That issue was addressed I believe last season, there is a food supply that the plane drops off on the island and the other people know about it. Hurley is just a closet eater. Also the other people on the island haven't lost weight either. Read my first sentence again.

OK a few things here:
He's been on the island for about 90 days.
The food he was secretly eating was not found by him until Season 2.
He has stated his belt buckle has gone in a notch or two.
So he HAS lost weight, its just not that noticeable.

There's the large supply of food that was found in the hatch, plus the food from the food drops, which I guess are still being dropped.
If not, then it could be that he is gorging on meat, fish and fruit and not getting enough exercise. You can eat as much fruit as you like, it doesn't mean you will lose weight.

I agree with Do It My Way, aren't you watching? :) first of all he admitted that he did drop a couple of belt sizes, and yes he did have a secret stash (which he took from the hatch) that he kept in the jungle until the episode dave (i think) he showed the stash to Libby and together they destroyed it all, only to have more supplies drop from the sky.

The actor isn't actually lost on a desert island! He eats 3 meals a day like anyone else.(probably more)

it might be because he is made up and the actor playing him has food to eat and isn't actually living on an island but hey what do i know??

THANK YOU!! I have been saying this since the beginning of the first series!! If it was true that guy would be as skinny as the rest by now! but it's not real so he is gonna stay fat due to all the on set catering.
