Make sure you use a good foundation first. it'll help it stick.. also use a waterproof eyeliner and set it with a special setting brush and brush it with a tad bit of the eyshadow you are going to use.. for the yeshadow its best to just carry it along in your puse and reapply it every so often during the day. it only takes. what.. 30 seconds?

try toning your skin before makeup or adding some concealer then loose powder to set it. maybe you have oily skin. you might need to wet your makeup brush and apply a bit more. don't worry about the thick eyeshadow, your makeup wil blend into your skin once it sets about 30 mins after application. if all else fails just retouch.

Benefit sells a great primer for eyeshadows called "f.y. eye". it really is an amazing product and it will make your eyeshadow stay on all day. As for eyeliner, Benefit makes this product called She-laq and if you apply it over your liner it will also stay on all day! Really great stuff but it is pricey.
