Talk to your doctor to confirm, but this is probably just the ligament attached to your uterus, which can cause pain at night time because it is being stretched. The pain usually occurs in the lower "side" of your abdomin. This happened to me and would sometimes wake me up at night howling from the sharp pain. It may go away, or be something you have to deal with for most of the pregnancy, but it is totally normal.

Sometimes I just don't understand some of the Questions people ask, This is one of them.. This is too important, for you and your unborn child, to be asking any of us such a question. This is something that should be asking your doctor, Sure we could answer what we felt, or what we did, but Everyone is different so go to your doctor and ask as many questions you need to, To protect you and your unborn child.

It could just be growing pains for you, but I would tell your DR about them on your next appt. unless you start bleeding, if that happens call the dr. immediately.
