This sounds very much like an Indian horse.. most of the ones I have met have had native american names... the mares were Squaw and Pocahontas, etc. You might consider names like Seneca, Apache, Cochese, Squanto, Chief, Lakota, something along those lines. My husband's native name is Blue Warrior - he'd be honored if you liked that well enough to use . You could even do a web search for Native Heroes if you're interested in finding a name that's very significant for him. Kiss him between the eyes for me.

Lone Kaities Pal...you could call him Pal
Grasshopper (that's the name of a horse at a stable I go to and it fits him perfectly...always moving)
Keirston's Sole (as in alone)
Phar Bleu Pointe
Sundance Spunk
You could also give him your state name...but that would depend on what state you are in. I know someone who lives in Arizona and named their horse..Arizona. Fits the horse perfectly.

Well, you should name your horse something that would go with its color. Like if it is light brown, or has dots on it, you can name it Java. I always like to name my animals food names, or names that People don't use for themselves. I f you can't find a good name that way, you can go to google and surch for horse names. There is always a long list of really cool names in there. Good Luck!

How about Katie's Boy? or Blue Eyes? If you want to go the orphan route there's always Oliver Twist.

I'd name him 'Kaite's Babe,' and you could just call him 'Babe' ... which might 'sound weird' but try it out on him and see if when you call him 'Babe' he doesn't 'perk up and pay attention' ... because that's the only way you can tell if the animal really 'likes' it's name.
