Unless overtime is stated as compulsory in your contract your are only obliged to work the hours as stated in your contract of employment and job description. I would like to see your boss defend this one at a tribunal! Good luck

God no that isnt right! Your boss sounds like the boss from hell!! You should have a break by law every 4 hours and id say less than that if youre pregnant! Depends what work you do also, if youre at an office job you can have breaks when you wish as youre at a desk but if youre on your feet a lot, then you must see if you can sit down. Your boss has got to be male as im sure a female boss wouldnt treat you like this. Id go and get proffessional advice/go see your doctor, see if he can sign you off for a week, to pi$$ your boss off. Good luck x

If this meeting was just sprung on you today make a stand 9pm is late meaning after midnight when you get in. Just say unfair dismissal and tribunal are u in the uk if so I hope your babies due on or after Aril 1st then your entittled to 39weeks maternity leave if you care to take it.
Just tell her you have a prior antenatal class which you are entitled to attend. or go and fall asleep tell her it's your condition and your normally tucked up in bed by 9.30pm. I'm sure your not the only one objecting, but she sounds the type who's looking for a reason to get rid of you and could make your last few months miserable. I hope a proper risk assessment has been done for you as it is part of health and safety requirement (law) here in UK.

If it's UK, I'd think he was totally out of order. I'm sure you're entitled to a break not longer than five hours and then I think it's at least half an hour. But it's years since I was in the work place, I assumed things would have got better.

go to the meeting and faint- see what they do then , because you will be entitled to go sick tomorrow and there's nothing they can do about it, don't walk out let them sack you then you can go to a tribunal, they know they are in the wrong that's why they are trying to push you out, ask for a copy of company policies, they have to give them to you, also if you work four hours you are entitled to a break, and the can't sack you for being pregnant, turn up for your meeting and do you dying swan bit, that will teach them, fifteen minutes for every four hours-if you work full time you are entitled to half an hour for lunch. go on the computor and look up acas, they will tell you exactly whats what..... good luck dont let them get away with it....

Do not let her incite you to leave ,she is trying to deprive you of your maternity leave and entitlement to your money by treating you like this ,you are entitled to maternity leave at 6 months.go to (maternity leave) TheSite.org By law you are entitled to a break of 15 mins after 3 hrs and 1/2 hr after 6 hrs.Stand your ground , they are breaking the law .I wonder how many times they have done this before.I would speak to a solicitor if I was you. They must have heard of Health and Safety.Ring them up and report them.Who on earth do these companies think they are .Hi what have you decided to do ??

no this is not right first of all after 4 hrs work you are entitled by law to a 15 minute break and they cant force you to go to work if its not your roterd time they cant make you go in i would speak to someone about this and if they did sack you over that you would have a good case for tribunal x

for starters you should of been allowed a break if you work 4 hours or more and I would like to see any employer sack you whilst ya pregnant as you are so protected by laws of discrimination that I dont think they fancy a court appearance. good luck.

If you are in the UK then your employer has to do a risk assessment for because you are pregnant. There is a website you can go to.cant remember it thoughI used it for my daughter when she was pregnant it explains exactly what you are entitled to regarding work breaks and times.
Try typing in employment laws in pregnancy to google and see what comes up.

you are pregnant, your company should allow you to take a break but by law you are entitled to 20 minutes. if any thging comes of this ring citizens advice, but im damn sure your employer cannot treat you in that mannor
