Get new friends fast! Jealousy and Envy seem to be hanging around too much! Above all, be proud of who you are and never change that! If you don't love you, no one will! Keep speaking properly as well, since slang doesn't look good on a resume or in a board meeting! Keep your head up kid, you're going places!

I am going to say something my mama said to me. People are going to talked about you until the day you die. It doesn't matter what they call you, it's what you answer too. Yes, Some blacks and whites speak differently but it boils down to the same thing. Just because some people say you talk white doesn't makes it's better or worst. Just be yourself and treat people with kindness. Some people can be mean and cruel. People can be pretty or handsome on the outside but have an ugly spirit. Most blacks live a dual live. We talk differently at work around white folks then when we do at home or around other blacks. Black people are very creative people. We have our own style and flavour. Just because some people say you talk white doesn't mean you are smarter or better. Speaking white and speaking Ebonics is not better or worst just different. We live in a white dominated society. So if you want to fit in and work for corporate America. You need to speak proper English (white). If its really bothering you, maybe you need to see a speech therapist about your high pitched voice or get an operation to lower. If not, just do you.

number one you have to understand that just because you speak proper English does not make you less of the person you are. It makes you more intelligent and don't let the stupidity of others bring you down. As for them making fun of you you need to tell your parents that teachers are even doing it for it is stopping you from participating in your classes. People forget that education is the key to success anymore . My idea is that you can not act a color that is how society has defined races by stereo types which just continues to perpetuate the color line. by broadening your knowledge and trying to better your self you are the bigger person

In the U.S. for the most part they do 'talk differently' but not all people. There are different voice and speech patterns reflecting a persons heritage, and often 'white' people and 'black' people in the U.S. have differing speech patterns and vocabulary. Some don't tho because of education and social environment.

Don't worry, whites get told to stop talking black all the time.

I didn't know we spoke differently.
I say be yourself, that's wrong that your own kkind makes fun of you for talking respectively as to imply that all blacks have to talk ghetto!

Speak proper, you don't have to speak ebonics to be black geesh!!

Some do, some dont. It depends alot on how they were raised. Everyone has the right to who they want to be....in my opinion. No, dont change your voice...if thats just you, well then keep being you, and be proud! *
