Have you been to a baby shower recently. Do you have some ideas for best games or are games at baby showers out of style now. I have a new group of friends having babys and I would like to have a baby shower for them but don't really know where to start. Thanks for your help!

pls no games! if you love them spare them. i think it is really neat to focus on the mom. you could have a pamper the prego party, this would have been like a dream come true.of course you have to do the food and stuff, no drinks!, you can put stuff in cool glasses though. but have like a spa party thing with the belly in focus. give mom back rub, foot rub, chill, eat chat. if you guys a friend thats a nail tech like me, or other beauty pro ask them to provide mom with a pedi or mini facial.and dont forget to her somethng too, shes the vessel for that little one, good luck!

*Fill up a few cheap dollar store bottles with milk or water and see who finishes it first.
* I also played diapering the baby. Blind fold a few women and give them a doll and a small diaper. Whoever puts the diaper on the fasted and best wins.
*Have about 5 jars of different baby food set out . remove the labels and number the jars. Women/men need to guess the flavours of baby food. The one with the most right wins.
* A baby word scrabble. Write down about 10 different words that have to do with babies and mix them up. The first person to unscramble them and get them correct wins.
Games are always fun and it makes the time go faster.

My baby shower is on Wednesday! I am so excited! But my sister is planning it, so I have no say! Sorry. But I have been to a few. A game i liked was you melt candy bars into little diapers and have people guess. Also theres guess how big the mommy's tummy is, or the baby food jar game. You have everyone sniff the baby food after taking lables off and guess what flavor it is!

I went to a baby shower in Nov. and there was a game that I had never played until then. They gave us each an ice cube with a little plastic baby inside. The first person whose "water broke" (being when the baby was out of the ice) won. You couldn't put the ice cube in your mouth or in your hand to melt the ice. But I did learn that if you put the cup between your legs, you could warm it up that way :)

I am having my baby shower in a few weeks and I asked my friends and family who are throwing it not to have any games. My sister insisted on playing games at her shower and they were cheesy and everyone complained. If you want something to fill up the time, have people take turns talking about their labors/deliveries/first few weeks with the new baby
