fit when the Republicans were in office, well they aren't now and my gas prices have gone up .26 cents since the middle of January. I don't hear any talk of it anymore nor of any plans they might have to lower gas prices.

Ohhhhhh, no,...they'll keep Bush bashing instead to cover the fact that they are not doing a dog gone thing about it. Just wait, this is nothing. Obama has already introduced legislation for a new TAX HIKE and do you really believe that the rest of the Dem senate members won't sign it. Yeah...right. Nope, we're in for the tax increases now, that's for sure.

I'm wondering when everyone is going to get that the gas prices are set on the world market and the only control we have is as consumers is to lower the usage and the demand goes down with the prices to follow. It's pretty simple folks!

They passed legislation last week around biofuels, and have finally started rumbling about repealing the tax breaks received by Big Oil.
The Democrats were elected at least in part because of the outrage at the six years of Oil Presidency we've just experienced.
How long do you think it should take to reverse six years of incompetency and cronyism?

Gas prices are determined by OPEC and supply and demand. Democrats and Republicans have no control over either.

Hey Dork, Bush is still behind the big wheel. Gas have only gotten low once, when Bush was trying to impress us.
Then they started flying high again, They still have gotten up to 2.98 like they were 5 to 6 months ago. Duhhhhhhhhhh

The reason they are going up is because of the very good possiblity that Bush is going to attack Iran. And when that happens you & every other American will be paying 50x more for gas than the .26 cents increase you are paying now and you'll only have Bush to thank for that.
