It is a wonderful name, to be honest it was @ the top of my list to name our baby girl (arriving May 2007). I was trying to convince my husband the Alyssa Catherine was a beautiful name, but Alyssa Clare (or Claire) is even better.

I think it's gorgeous! I really love the name Alyssa, and Clare sounds great with it (although my personal preference is for Claire rather than Clare).

That's a pretty name, my niece 8mo Old is Alyssa Denea, but I hate her middle name I think it sounds stupid, Clare is a much better choice. Ignore the post about it being a common name, it's a unique name in the fact that almost everyone else is giving their kids stupid names that no one call spell or pronounce. It's nice to see someone give their kid a name that the CHILD can live with not the parent who though it was cute to give their kid a name that was "special"

Alyssa Clare is really cute!!! You can and add an i to clare if you want to. Claire. But it is cute when it is spelled Clare.

Name your child something you really dont hear alot, like rose, Seth, Leo, Mary, those names are intresting and are not the Britney's that are rotting away are common society. Alyssa Clare is a common name....

I like it, but I do like Clair spelled better with an "i". Or you could do Alyssa Claire.
