I'd say the Bulls would have a clean sweep(maybe the Celtic could win 1, MAYBE!)..... 4-0 or 4-1

You're comparing 2 different eras of basketball which makes the two teams hard to compare. The Celtics had no defense (Like every other team at that time), but the Bulls had two scorers(Pippen, Jordan), along with 2 guys who were 1,2 in steals per game(Pippen, Jordan), and Jordan was #1 in points, Scottie pippen #1 in steals. All the Celtics really had was Larry Bird, who didn't play defense what so ever. Bulls win 4-0. I don't see how the Celtics could win a game like that.

Another MJ fan boy who started watching basketball in the early 90's. The 80's Celtics and Lakers would crush the MJ Bulls and any other championship team since then.

When the Celtics played the Bulls in the 80's , they beat mj's Bulls all six games in the playoffs.....the supposed greatest player ever couldn't muster 1 win....Larry bird owned MJ.... so in this matchup I say Celtics 4-2 ....

The bulls beginning 5 may be kerr, mike, scottie, kukoc, and longley. Kerr vs dj may be interesting. Ainge has no prayer of guarding mike so fowl may ought to. Ainge won't be able to shield scottie both so mchale may ought to and regrettably for mchale he's not ok defensively to regulate him. Kukoc is going to terrorize whoever you position at 4 because he has handles like a shield, can stress the lane, shoot the three and the j now to not indicate he's 6'10. At 5 you are able to placed longley like it even concerns. Bulls in 5. Ainge became not in any respect ok quite even as Mike had scottie seem at why he went 0-2 in those finals

Wow, what do you know. Another moronic question with a moronic opinion attached to it. The best 80's Celtics team and the best 80's Lakers team would beat any team no matter which era you are talking about.

The opinions you get stating otherwise are from kids that were not around to witness what a team attitude plus the best talent brings.

look at the personnel match ups...mchale on horace/ rodman parrish on wennington cartwright or longley, bird on doesnt matter who, then give the backcourt matchups to the bulls...do you actually remember some of the MJ bulls matchups against aging boston...mike would always get his and they would lose...the notion is that the celtics didnt play defense while in reality you had to beat the lakers in those days and to do that you had to run also...only as the lakers and celtics got older did detroit finally catch them playing hardnosed defense (losing a championship series 4-3 to the lakers then sweeping them 4-0) after which the bulls succeeded adapting the system brought in by coach jackson (brilliant actually because it was designed to keep their marquee players in single match ups using triangle isolation/motion and always one of the best 3 point shooters in the league paxton, hodges, then kerr so the floor is spread) looks as if most of the people posting here had never watched basketball before 90...anybody here realize that mchale parrish bird and archibald all played for those teams and are in the top 50 all time greats of the game?

are u serious? do really watch basketball guy? the celtics would win. i'm not saying that they would sweep them but, they would win. the era is different. the bulls had jordan and pippen and role players, the celtics had bird, parrish, mchale and SMART players! that's the difference.
