I mean the Henry dive in the 40th minute, not the other 4 or 5 dives he had in the game.

A great player, world class in fact, but what a disgrace.

And, truth be told, it doesn't surprise me, because this is just a normal day for Henry.

If so many people didn't w@nk themselves over Henry, he would get so much more press about it, and it would be deserved.

He may not be as bad as Drogba or Ronaldo, but he is a world class diver.

First off all, yes, there was intial contact.

He stayed on his feet because he knew he could get passed the defender. When he realized the ball was going out of bounds, he went to ground when there was no one around him and when he realized he was in the penalty box. He thought he had a play, when he went past the defender, realized there was nothing there, dove in the box when no one was a round him; that's even worse really.

Second, that celebration after the own goal was nothing less then pathetic. If he is a professional player, such a thought wouldn't even go through his mind.

Arsenal are losing to a crap Wigan team. Arsenal scores on an own goal, Henry picks up the ball, pretty much shoves it in Kirkland's face.

Henry, supposively a world class personality should be better then that. He is a mutured player, a captain, and the things he did in that game were not football.

tarek....

Are you blind?

I didn't say anything against Henry's talent!

I said Henry was a world class player. I may have said his behaviour was poor though.

Goffffaaa...

Don't be so naive.

Look at a reply.

Henry took about 3 or 4 strides after intial contact before he went to ground. He took one bad touch on the ball, and they went to ground.

Second, the contact occured two or three yards outside the box and his dive started two or three strides inside the box.

In all honesty, it was one of the biggest dives of the year.

Bad quality, but its the only thing I could find on youtube:

Henry was being pulled back by the Wigan player, but instead of falling to the ground he passed him but lost the ball. Yes, then he fell to the ground untouched and shouldn't have, but had he gone down when he was first being tugged he would had a free kick and a yellow card against the Wigan player
Have a look when Henry plays, look how many times he stays on his feet during tough challenges, or even hurdles over very obvious late challenges, challenges which would result in yellow cards if he was like most strikers who like to fall to the ground
There are many other players in the EPL who prefer this approach rather than going down at the slightest touch

I'm sorry, you're labelling of Henry as a world class diver is sad, driven either by jealousy or sour grapes

I have not seen the game yet, but I have to agree Henry is a professional diver. Now he does score many goals from free play and I'd say PK's account for a minority of his goals. But he does Dive exceptionally well. But he does so for the points.

lmao yeah.. henry is definitely a diver. hes great, but hes a diver.

but ronaldo (im guessing youre referring to cristiano) doesnt dive anymore. he may do it once in a while because if he doesnt hes going to get seriously injured, but he doesnt do it like he used to. drogba, however, still does.

henry didnt dive...he was heckled a bit from the wigan defender, forgot who it was, but he lost his balance, it did look like a dive but you can tell he lost his balance..besides no one in their right mind would dive that obvious
