They wouldn't fight in the first place but I would guess that it would depend on the size of the snakes. copperheads have a small amount of venom and milksnakes are relatively immune to a small amount of venom. It would be close but Milksnakes are related to kingsnakes and kingsnakes can take down a rattlesnake. It really isn't able to determine for sure.

Why would they fight?

Copperhead venom is pretty mild and Kingsnakes are mildly immune, so it would depend on whether or not the Kingsnake was big enough to capture and eat the Copperhead- otherwise, the Copperhead would not bother the Kingsnake.

(FYI- for those who did not know, Milksnakes are small members of the Kingsnake group. While Kings eat snakes, Milks usually do not.)

I have found both close to each other in the wild and have never seen a sign that they don't get along.

Snakes do fight look up "combat dance" and I have heard/read of inter-species fighting. In my neck of the woods they live together and eat the same thing for the most part. Ive found them under rocks right next to each other (The copperhead did not appear to be panicking and fleeing for the hills thou he might of been packing his bags when I found him) Though im sure that there is a chance they eat each other from time to time. I would guess the biggest one would probably win. Im sure a large copperhead would chomp down a small milksnake easily and vice versa.

Snakes don't "fight". If they do come into contact and they are about the same size-wise, the milksnake can & will eat a copperhead if it is hungry. The copperhead's venom doesn't affect the milksnake. My eastern milksnake is about 5ft. & must be kept in a seperate room from my other snakes (including a copperhead & a timber rattler) so his scent doesn't panic the other snakes.
