Dallas or the surrounding area. Good jobs, affordable housing, wonderful lakes and lots of trees. Besides, Southwest Airlines has really cheap flights both to the panhandle and OK so you can go home and visit!

Don't know what you mean by "somewhat", or whether you're looking for a city, town or what, but my family just relocated to San Antonio and we love it. If you prefer a smaller town, there are lots of them surrounding - close to the city if you want/need it, but still small and intimate.

Choosing where to live is so subjective, I don't think this is a good forum for that question.

I have friends that live in Bartlesville, OK, and they love it there.
