It could be winter and snow, and it could be almost summer-like! April in Sweden is proverbially unpredictable. But it's more likely to be cold than warm. It depends a lot on where you are staying. In the North of Sweden, it's likely to be snowy and cold. In the south, April is a Spring month. The Stockholm area is unpredictable. If there comes snow, it's likely to melt away quickly. Take a warm jacket and boots or thick sole shoes, a woollen sweater, scarf and gloves. And then some lighter clothing and a pair of lighter shoes for late April, when the sun can surprise you. It's easier and cheaper to shop light clothing than warm if you find that the clothes you brought were inappropriate for the weather.
I'm sure you will find Sweden an easy country to travel in. Most people speak English very well. And you will probably find new friends at the course.
Welcome to Sweden! I hope you will have a great time - and that April will show its best side to you.
