Ok, so I am 24 and for the first time got swept up in the moment and had unprotected sex (pull-out method) with my b/f last November. I am still so upset and disappointed in myself for doing something so stupid, reckless, dangerous... But here I am, almost 3 months later and feeling really weird. I have gained 6 pounds (I hope because of Thanksgiving and Christmas), my breasts are bigger, I started having odd pressure pains in my stomach last week and been dreaming about fish. I ordered a pregnancy test today. I am really reluctant to get a test done at the hospital or clinic because I work there and everyone knows me. I am a grad student and there's absolutely no way that I can have a baby. I know I should have done all this worrying before. I am always so responsible, but I have totally gotten myself in trouble now. Even if I am not pregnant, I am so preoccupied with worry that I can't focus on anything else. Somebody lie to me....please.....tell me it's all in my mind..:-S

Oh yeah, and I have not missed any periods. As a matter of fact they have been right on schedule and heavy.

If you're still having periods and if they're heavy, then I would say that you are definitely not pregnant. It's all in your head. Pregnancy scares when you're not careful can really stress you out. I know how that goes. It can make your mind do crazy things. It can even sometimes make your body feel like you're pregnant! You can start having pregnancy symptoms without being pregnant at all just because you're freaking yourself out. One time I was so scared I was pregnant that I skipped my period! That was scary, but I wasn't pregnant.

You don't even have to wait for a pregnancy test to come in the mail. You can get really good ones at Wal-Mart or the dollar store, take them home and use them right then. No need to wait a few days for the package to come. The ones at the store are surprisingly accurate. Especially if the incident you're talking about was three months ago.

Again, I don't think you have anything to worry about, and you know to be more careful next time. We've all made stupid mistakes. Calm down. Breathe. You'll be fine.

Just buy a pregnancy test in the drug store and find out for yourself. No need to get the test done at the hospital or clinic.

Considering how massive odds a sperm has to overcome to fertilize an egg when you're having regular sex, I would be hard-pressed to believe that you could get pregnant from a spot outside all those external barriers.

i dont think youre pregnant if you havent missed any pds. its still a good idea to get the test done, just to make sure. Just for now, stop worrying about it, that may be whats causing all the weird stuff... your just paranoid. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Hope everything goes the way you want it to.

Chances are that you are just being paranoid. Your mind can do that to you. If it turns out that you are pregnant you can give the baby up for adoption. There are so many people that would love to have a baby and can't. Like I said, it is most likely in your mind, Good luck!!

Why have you waited 3 months before getting tested if it's consuming you so much.
The symptoms you descibed are the same ones I had early in my pregnancy. The odds of you getting pregnant from that one "oops" are slim... but it only takes once.

It sounds like you are just paranoid. If your periods are coming regularly then you aren't pregnant.
