Here is the answer I just put in another similar question: RU having trouble sleeping this night...see if it helps....
Try to identify what is causing you to have trouble sleeping. It can be the result of temporary increase in stress but it can also be other medical conditions such as asthma, hypoglycemia, or sleep apnea.
Other simpler causes might be drugs or indigestion. Try not to eat for the hour or two before bedtime and talk to your physician about medication routines. Other common culprits are caffeine, alcohol, or overall poor nutritional habits.
One of the simplest remedies for difficulty sleeping is a glass of warm milk right be bed. I had trouble being awakened by leg cramps for a while that were alleviated by eating a banana each morning for breakfast.
Calcium and magnesium supplements taken after meals and at bedtime may also help. There is a calcium supplement designed to work with your body's metabolism which you can get at a health food store. It is made by a company called Source Naturals.

I find Melatonin very helpful. Regarding posture, I suggest lying on your side with the bottom leg straight and the top leg bent. Using a body pillow helps to maintain this position.
