I really want to take my dog to Japan when I go! Do you know of any apartments in Hokkaido that allow dogs?

Yes, she is a small dog. Just a bit bigger than a cat.

♡One of your other Q.s mentions that your 'mom will be teaching English in Japan', if that's the case, she should mention the situation to her employer who will most likely be setting up your living arrangements. They will then advise you if your dog will also be able to live with you or not. This is all prepared for you in advance. *Some apartments allow dogs and some do not.
You may want to check out all that's involved with bringing your dog to Japan as well. Take a look here for some information that will help you in this matter:

Here is a listing for an agent in the Hokkaido area you (your mother) may want to contact about this if you'll be making your own arrangements:

↑"We perform tenant checks ourselves and, of course, foreigner clients are welcome."
Hope this helps and good luck with your move to Japan!♡

First, i think of you may desire to envision your substitute cost. that is off. 2nd, you will prefer somebody to assure you on the apartment. don't have that? unlikely to take place. 0.33, you will prefer someplace around thrice the month-to-month cost to circulate in. First month's lease, deposit (which you will or won't get lower back) and key money, which you will no longer get lower back. Fourth, you're no longer probably to discover a apartment business enterprise which will decide for a three month hire. lower back up and punt. EDIT: Nope, do no longer prefer all of us to assure you at some thing like a Sakura homestead. yet you asked approximately residences. i'm no longer probably into sharing a tub, lavatory and worry-loose residing section with people i do no longer understand. yet despite journeys your set off. Such would truly be extra decrease priced than a inn although.

I'm sure there would be some apartments allowing pets...

Also, I'm hoping your dog is quite small, as it would be pretty cruel to have a medium to larger sized dog couped up in an apartment!! :| Japanese apartments are pretty small!!

Also hope you're a responsible pooper-scoopin' person too - Hokkaido is a beautiful place!!! ;)

Good luck finding a suitable place!!

Finding apartments that allow pets in Japan is the easy part -- finding an apartment that will rent to a foreigner is the difficult part.

Sadly, your dog will have an easier time finding accommodation than you.

I think there are some apartments which allows dogs to live with you while some do not allow.

You fan find it when you come to Japan. Do not worry about it so much.

It's hard enough to find a place that will take a gaijin in the first place, let alone a gaijin with a dog. I suppose the few months that your dog will likely have to spend in quarantine will give you time to look for a place that will accept pets.

Keep in mind to check quarantine laws as they can get pretty lengthy.

Here is some pretty useful information to skim through.

Also, I hope your dog is small, as finding a pet-friendly apartment is tricky enough with small breed.

Perhaps you could look into house rentals as well.

Overall, your best bet would likely be to contact an agent.

Are you sure that is not going to cause any confusion to the dog in term of the language, different ethnic people. It's hard for the dog to distinguish the color (from white to yellow), since, dogs are colorblinded.

Not right off hand, but usually apartments don't allow pets.

Good luck.

You can search in apamanshop.com, you will need to know Japanese, or get a friend to help. Usually they have some listings.
