I like to each at Penn Station where they make "east coast subs". My friend and I were wondering....what exactly makes it "east coast?"

Hmmm //// I wonder .... I live in the east coast and normally our subs include .... your choice of lunchmeat and cheese and then ..... lettuce, tomato and onion .... salt pepper and oregano .... and .... your choice of oil and vinegar or .... mayo and ..... maybe hot or sweet peppers..

We have american and italian subs ..... or ... we call them

hoagies.

Are these choices only found on the East Coast ??? If so ... that's it.....

Last I checked the East Coast calls subs hoagies, so I would say the place that is advertising this is full of it. Most restaurants in Penn Station are poor so I would advise against eating there, it is just a gimmick.

A harsh grating accent from your server would show an East Coast style.

When I lived in the east, I made sub-sandwiches with loaves of yellow bread, fresh not cut sliced off end and cut out 3" from middle added sliced meats inter leafed with different strips of cheese to fill the area.. Baked for 30 minutes in the oven at 325 degrees. pulled cooled for 30 minutes. Sliced with power knife in 4" chunks, wrapped in seran wrap refrigerate until ready to eat. heat before eating.

It's their deliciousness. I have lived out in the mid-west and in the south. The pizza is awful and the only place to buy a sub is a Subway or Blimpies. Blimpies is alright, but it can't beat real NY style pizza or subs made in a family pizza shop!!
