I have to go with the Fox short-lived series "Firefly" by Joss Whedon. It is absolutely spectacular. The movie "Serenity" was a continuation or final farewell for the series which never got an appropriate conclusion. If you have not seen either of them, I highly recommend starting off with the TV series then catching the movie. Both are excellent.

"LAX" - Heather Locklear, Blair Underwood. About the dramas of Los Angeles International Airport, with two people managing the airport after the acting manager decided to commit suicide by wandering onto the runway. It was a one-season show, consisting of only thirteen marvelous episodes.

Well the problem with them being one-season shows is that no one remembers them! lol I wonder how long the series "Kay O'Brien" lasted...if anyone even remembers that. I kinda liked that one, although I was a kid when it was on.

Edit: I just did some research, and it was in fact a one-season show. It only lasted 17 episodes. It was about a female doctor, whose nickname was "Kayo." My mom and I enjoyed watching it. It premiered (and ended) in 1986, when I was eight. :)
