it should be a 194 bulb (industry number) cehck your casing for cracks and where the bottom of the bulbs plug in. there is no correct wattage for your bulb because it does run off of a dc current and a 12v battery. check connections. see if you are gounded. most auto part stores will carry a full socket for your car, tho it might not be just light stock. you could go to a dealership to find the OEM part.

Best to go to auto parts and ask for the correct bulbs, if you keep putting the same bulb in it you may be putting the wrong bulb there, someone in the past may have installed the wrong one there just to get it to work, Good Luck and GOD Bless

May be short caused by a bad socket where the bulb goes in. If you have the owners manual the correct bulb should be listed there.

looks stupid to ask yet ... Are you changing the bulb with between the comparable wattage? Many bulbs seem comparable yet they're marked on the area of the metallic physique with 12V and 5.5W or 12V and 10W. verify that the comparable bulb score is used and you will desire to be ok.
