I went to the Italian one and i wanted to say: 'LOL', to a question for fun, but i thought to myself, what if that person posted a question about their dead aunt etc. Have you ever done this and you weren't able to understand the language?

hahaha, no I haven't yet, I once entered on Japan and came straight out again, it would be funny if we all went over to another site at the same time and bombarded them, with our language and daft questions.

I do - it is fun - they all have different abbreviations like LOL . Can only do it with countires that use the same keyboards as us.
In fact I just posted a very silly question on the French site - not silly but the fact is my french is so bad no one will understant it so I may have wasted five points on nothing

Yes, I was curious when I noticed a lot of Brits complaining about Americans being on their version. I didn't attempt to answer the questions, but I clicked on every version listed on the bottom of the answers page. Kind of neat to see the different scripts in other languages.
A word to the Brits: are you sure we are cluttering up your site? I never choose to be on it. I think because both are in English there are times they just overlap. Why is that a problem for you? It is easy to tell when locale references are made that the UK is involved, but a perspective from elsewhere could be refreshing, wouldn't it?

I've just visited the Indian, Canadian and Australian sites.
Anwered a couple of questions too. Didn't understand a lot of it, though, even though it was all in English.

I sometimes wind up on the UK version of this, but with language translation available on the internet now, you could theoretically answer questions in ANY language.

No I haven't. You could bring up a _________to English translator, pick a short question and make sure it's appropriate to answer in English.
