If he is a close friend or acquaintance pull him aside and let him know that he is not really funny. Depending on what he is trying to be funny about (insulting other people, jokes he heard or ones he is trying to make up, etc.), let him know why he is not funny. If he is not a friend or acquaintance just don't react, walk away or just ignore him.

Humor is subjective, so just because you think someone is not funny doesn't mean that someone else won't. I've seen things that other people thought were funny and I didn't, and I've seen things that I thought were funny and other people thought were not. If your friend is trying to be a stand up comic, then the audience will let him know if he is funny or not.

For the 1st question just tell that person that you hope that they understand but you don't care much for their jokes, riddles, etc...
2nd As long as the baby's name isn't a celebrity's name I am fine.

i like your questions. just don't laugh. or you could say huh? or smile and just nod. if they think you they are funny then they would expect you to be laughing and when they see that you are not amused then they might wanna rethink the wise cracks, the pranks and the jokes.
jessica would probably name it something like candy apple or apple pie or sweet savannah...sorry am i mean? im just being weird.
