My husband and I are looking at moving to Fort Myers and would like some information on apartments, houses, jobs and just an over all area information of what is good and what is bad. Only have been there once visiting and do not know much about the area. If you have any info that could help us please.

Thanks

Jobs are pretty plentiful as there is a lot of growth going on. It's best to avoid coastal locations for obvious hurricane reasons as well as sky high insurance rates. Another thing to consider is avoiding areas that are laced with canals. During a storm surge you'll get swamped with water. Inland is best on many fronts. Consider areas east of I-75. There are some nice new subdivisions there that are not far from the city and with reduced storm risks.
