The first true gangsters came from italy and were in the mob, like the sicicilian mafia. They were the true full blooded italian gangsters.

Now gangsters are all in the ghetto and wear chains and the baggy pants with the wide brimmed hats, smoke weed with their gang and think their all tough and always use the N word. I feel that these wannabe hoods are a disgrace to all italians because the true italian gangsters in the mafia were completely different then the gangsters now. so my question, Do you think that gangsters today are a disgrace to Italians?

Are you asking if today's gangsters are a disgrace to yesterday's true italian gangsters? I think any time's gangsters are a disgrace to any people!

We have all been led to believe that the major gangland figures of the early to mid-twentieth century were Italian.

But, who cares who were the first.
Not all jews or all italians are gangsters, as not all americans killed the indians.

Do you really compare Al Capone and a gang member in LA? I think if we are disgraced as Italians, it is our own doing. The mob you are referring to seems to be more of a "fantasy" that we think is a "cool" history. Although very real, I don't think the two groups compare.
