Really I'm just looking to really understand how many hours a day / week on average someone would need to spend working at Stanford Law... but if all I can get is a relative figure when compared to other schools than that's okay too... so by "Top Law" program I roughly mean anything in the Top 10 or 15...

You mean studying?

It's highly dependent on the person. I only knew a couple people who went there, but they said it was the same as all the other ABA law schools.

I'm not sure you understand how law schools and their rankings work. There's no big difference btw a top 10 law school and a big top 40 law school other than a ranking from some organization. How hard and how much "work" you need to do depends on the person.

Say you go to Stanford. You'll be a very bright and naturally competitive person. However, so are all your classmates. If you want to be at the top of that curve, you'll need to work your butt off. However, there'll be some punk who naturally "gets" it and can pull off A's without studying.

That pretty much is the same at any law school, except the lower you go, the more lazy, but naturally smart people you get. Still, how much they "work" still depends on the individual person and what they're trying to do.

Also, some schools or classes have a more cut throat atmosphere. That changes all the time, whether by school, class, individual course, professor, etc.

You really cannot expect a specific answer to a nonspecific question. What other top law programs are you talking about?
