If they don't really like them, then it's understandable to misspell the name. However, if they claim to be "their biggest fan"...don't you find that a little funny? I can't count how many times I've seen someone spell it "Lynard Skynard", "'Def Leopard", "Jimmy Hendrix", "Janice Joplin"......geesh.

Why would they do it on purpose?

People sure are touchy. I never said that I dislike somebody because they can't spell it. Where on earth did you get that? I just said it was funny. And I would be offended if somebody didn't know how to spell my name......

Xynaine.....you are not the person in question. Do not worry (well, I know you are not worried), that is not what I meant.

I kinda feel Like I am the reason this topic is even a question. I sent a message to you. And I never claim to be the biggest fan of anything. Some People just can't spell. Me I don't get that excuse but from Time to Time I make Mistakes. It is going to happen. To get Pissed at it is ok. It happens to me too. But Watch out, cause with a question like this someone who is a total Prig will hang on this and wait for you to flub on one. I do feel a bit offended, but Oh well. I just try to learn from my mistakes, go on, and Ask a better (Hopefully) Error free Question. And By the Way I am a Big Evanescence Fan. Trust me that is a tough one to type at 78 WPM.

just because someone doesn't know how to spell doesn't mean that they don't like the music. What; do you think your all high ans mighty because you know how to spell? That's pretty shallow of you to dislike someone because they don't know how to spell. If you do truly like this music then you will know that this particular type of music isn't about if you know how to spell. It's about love, not hate; peace, not war. For someone who claims to love this music, you sure don't know much about it, now do you!?
Further more; Hendrix, Joplin, nor Morrison, would care less if people knew how to spell their names! Next time try to think before you speak and maybe you wont sound so ignorant!

I agree totally. Some people are too shallow in their interests to learn how to spell properly.
Now, time to check my own spelling.

If its a little mistake, I see it as a typo. But if its like you can tell they really think its spelled that way, I see them as a loser.
