I get some new ones every year, but that's because it's reimbursed by Social Security in my country.
I keep my old glasses and I have a lot of different glasses! It's cool to change style!

youre suppose to get new glasses every 2 years and the frames are optional you can just keep using the old frames till they break if you wanted and that may take a while depending on how well you take care of them

I get new frames when ever I need new lenses.

No matter how often they tell me I can use the frames they just sold me, the next time I come in, whenever I go in, they say I cannot use the old frames.

It's a con I tell you, a con.

New Frames, only when you break the old ones, or when you have to have a new prescription.. My two kids, of the four have to get checked every year, for their eye glasses and my daughter has to have a "Special" kind of check-up along with her regular one, because she's showing "Early stages/signs of Glaucoma" sad, but true. Her grandpa has it, and it doesn't really effect their vision for atleast 20-30 years, he said. So, she'll be okay. And who knows what the future will hold, they may have ways to get rid of "Glaucoma" in future years, for my daughter, hopefully (God-willing) they will. So, yes it's usually every year your suppose to get your eye's checked. Smile!!!

I get new glasses every two years. My prescription doesn't change so much and I wear contacts so the wear and tear on my glasses is minimal.

people usualy get new lenses every year and new frames every 2 years, or when ever their insurance goes off, which ever comes first, because usualy glasses are expensive.

I'm pretty sure you get new glasses when you get tired of yours, they break, or they go out of style. On average this is probly like every 5 years or so
