Like others have said, it really depends on the state and age of the nipples. I plan on reusing the nipples and all from our daughter with our newest addition, but our daughter is only 13 months old and I'm due in September. If I had nipples and all from my older children (the youngest of the oldest is 15), I wouldn't even think of reusing them.

What you might want to do is contact the company that made the nipples that you have. They may have a better idea of a "shelf-life" for the nipples that you have.

Good luck.

The Avent bottles specifically say on the directions to throw away nipples about after three months. I wouldn't reuse them. They deteriorate.

I wouldn't because they could have dry-rotted and could be too brittle but if you are poor then you may have no choice have you thought about breast feeding? it really isn't as bad as some people say. It is alot easier than washing and warming up bottles in the middle of the night believe me you will not regret it no sterilizing bottles and it lets you bond with the baby better and it actually helps your uterus shrink back down faster.

I don't see why not. Just inspect the wholes and make sure there is no tearing or anything strange. I'm planning on doing the same thing. As long as they're clean I can't even imagine what would be wrong with that!

As long as they are still in good shape.....no cracks, signs of wear, or rips of any kind. I used silicone nipples on all my baby's bottles and they are all put away for the next baby.

sometimes the material that the nipples are made of start to break down and feel sticky. I'd get new ones just to be safe. ( I don't know whether it could be toxic or not after it starts to deteriorate)

ABSOLUTELY! Well, if they have well taken care of and do not have any tears and are clean. My kids prefered different nipples however. My first daughter would only use AVENT, while my second daughter only liked NUK. Go figure!

Personally I would not especially if they are latex, they wear out quit quickly,if they are silicone and depending on how old they are I might, they are pretty cheap,I would not take any chances and buy some new ones.

Yes, but just for good measure I would boil them or run them through the dishwasher again when you are about to start using them. Have fun!
