your umbilical cord was used to give you nutrients when you were in your mother, and your belly button is the mark left when they cut it off, so yeah. they're pretty much useless. but, can you imagine yourself without one? lol

The belly button is where the fetus receives nutrients from the mother during gestation. The umbilical chord attaches from the mother's placenta to the belly button.

It's where the umbilical cord was until the doctor cut it when you were born; it brought food into you and waste out of you. When the cord is cut it leaves a piece, and that piece is never exactly the same, which is why some people are "innies", and some are "outies", and none look exactly the same.

It is ehre you got your nutrients from when you were in your mothers belly. After the cord was cut, the hole remained but it is sealed.

we have one because when we were in out mommy's tummies,
we has this one tube thing the fed us[[because we couldnt eat from out mouths]] and we needed to eat to live right? so thats how we got fed when we were little babies in out mom's stomache. so its just basically a scar EVERYONE is born with. except for "Kyle XY" hahah

it was where you was connected to your mother via her ubilical cord and what you will be attached to your son or daughter with when your pregnant... it exchanges gases and food (or waste) between mother and baby
