You should report it in detail. It might be an anomoly, but what if it isn't? A lot of great scientific discoveries have been the result of accidents. Report the odd result, and then repeat the experiment to see if it comes up again... ten times. If it comes up the majority of the time, then you might be on to something.

It is extremely interesting to have an odd result.
A result that you didnt expected.
You should investigate and explain why the result is odd.
Maybe you found a new phenomea, or a pittfall that youi should tell to the whole world so that they dont make the same mistake.
Whatever you do , dont ignore the odd answer !

Do the experiment a few more times to make sure that the result is legitimate. You might discover that you made an error during the experiment, but you also might find that you have made a new discovery. If you determine that the result was legitimate, then publish it.
