split personalities be gorgeous members of the opposite sex who make you do cool and neato things instead of psycho crazy stuff?
That way if you did happen to have a split personality you'd always have someone hot to hang out with and ppl would think you were awesome when they came to visit instead of wanting to check you into mental health?

Because people with multiple personality disorder have usually been treated with extreme cruelty, and their personalities being dissociated is a mental tactic to deal with the extreme stress. If a person has been treated kindly, then it is much less likely, if not impossible, that this condition will develop. Better to look for someone who is mentally healthy - it can keep you alive longer.
