I went out with my friend to eat dinner with her once, she planned it at last moment... and I just went ahead with that. On our way, she asked me to hold her purse, and I did... and when she took it back, she was like "I know it's very embarrassing for a guy to hold a purse" ... well, when she knew that, why did she still make me hold her purse?
Is it just me who finds her handing me my purse very weird?

I dont think anybody was around when she did that...
so I am not so sure if she was trying to show that I am her bf ....
and i know it's quite possible that she just needed an extra hand, but I dont know, none of the girls I know have done to me.. so I was weirded out

That's not that weird, maybe she just didn't want to put in anywhere else but in your hands - just a little friendly-flirtation. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

One question if she were alone who would hold it? Holding it has nothing to with anything but emasculating. I do so many things for her and we respect each other in every way, including not asking me to hold her purse, if she is in need of a hand she puts it on her shoulder, and to let you know we have never set this rule, her mother taught her to respect her man.

Well i guess she needed an extra hand to hold the bag while she did something. I used to have a gf that made me hold her purse for no reason at a time and i did feel embarrassed mainly because the bag was so girly x_x;

well yes it is wierd, but if she was looking for something, using her hands for something, etc. it is not awkward at all-its sorta like in the medieval times-chivalry- a guy just does it cuz if he doesnt girls will call him a beeeeeeep....
