Apologize. Later you will realize, always stick with your friends. The pride and power in being monitress won't last and isn't as important as your friendships. Relax and let people have fun when you are monitress. After you get out of school you'll be glad you did. Parents and teachers take these things seriousally but as long as you get decent grades you'll be fine, don't worry about it. Have fun while you can!!!

Go to your friend and tell them why you did what you did. That you take your responsibility seriously and that you were doing Your job. If they don't understand that then they were not much of a friend to begin with.

No matter what, DON'T apologize as you did NOTHING wrong. You were doing a job that was assigned to you. If anything your "friend" should apologize for putting you in the situation where you had to choose your responsibility over your friendship.

As you get older you will realize that there are times in life where you have to hurt or anger someone you like/love. Sometimes it is part of your job and others will be because it is the moral or legal right thing to do.
