It's correct that the number is 789, but the call is free as long as your Mum doesn't speak to an operator. She'll not need to do that, as the process is automatic. There are a number of buttons to press, cos it's one of those "press 1 for this, press 2 for that" kind of services. It's all pretty self-explanatory, though.

I used to have a virgin mobile phone and it's 789. But, you should be able to sign up online and check your balance from there. It will just end up costing her too much money to continue to call the number from her cell phone.

i think the number should be 789...i used to have a virgin pay as you go phone...789 is the 'hotline' for info and stuff...according to the package thing i still have...if it doesn't work, go to any virgin mobile stores and ask for it...good luck!
