What the heck, I'll take a different approach. Everybody gave you the right answers for a "mistake". I'll assume you stole the bag. Put it in the freezer over night, bring it out and drill a small hole in the shell of the dye pack. Keep that side down over the sink and as it thaws the ink will drain out and you can pry it off. If it's just the magnetic bar trip, cut it out and throw it away.

Phone the store up and tell them to expect you, after explaining what happened. Make sure you have the receipt. if you try to take the tag off yourself, you could damage the bag. Also tell the store manager you aren't happy about it, having to make another journey to the store. This happened to me and I was given the item back, the cost of it, and profuse apologies

Take it back to the store with the receipt and they will remove it for you...or did you lose the receipt? How did you get out of the store with it still on?
If you take it off without the device that does it magnetically, you will ruin your merchandise. Take it back to the store and ask them to do it.

If you try to remove it without the proper tool you will damage the bag. You should take it back to the store and have it removed.

the only ways to get it off is to buy one of those machines that get it off, try and pry it off with pliers, or, if u need to, go back to the store you got it from and let them get it off. They wont mind. You just show them your receipt showing you bought it and they will take it off for you. Simple as that. Hope this helps!
