great question.
nothing, i suppose. they think the borders are fine, nothing wrong there. they think if we would only go talk to the mad mullahs in Iran and the mad men in Syria, they wouldn't threathen us. they think there are only terrorists because of Bush and when he goes away, so will terrorists.
i can't quite wrap my brain around this "logic."

Anything and everything that opposes their own agenda - and doesn't require military action or any commitment on their part.
And, Dawg, for what it's worth, if you really think about it, their demented hatred of Bush may well be a threat to national security - it's obvious they don't understand that a divided nation isn't as strong as a united one.

They think Republicans are a threat. They somehow figure that fighting back against terrorists is a threat to America. They also seem to think that any measures that improve the ability of security agencies to protect us is an attack on out fundamental freedoms.

Terrorism comes from oppressing others and if we stop this practice we will not have to deal with terrorists here . It is not a random act it is targeted at specific nations and specific people for a reason .
If you make a lot of noise next to your neighbors house and he pleads for you to keep it down and you refuse he has a recourse by going to the police if you are violating the noise laws or health laws or other laws that would enjoin him from enjoying his property . Now if that fails because you make noise till 10 pm and stop till 6 am you are not breaking the noise ordinances in most cities . So he buys a gun and shoots your speakers to which you build a speaker case out of metal that bullets will not damage . So he shoots you . Now he is a murderer and you are responsible for your own death for not living in peace with him .
If we learned to get along we would not have terrorism and death .

The very use of the be conscious IS "Terrorism". It invokes concern and Terrorizes. The "terrorism" we are informed about to day complements the phobia because the actors ("terrorists") are invisible (boogie-men), spread in the course of the international, unseen specters that could strike at any time. "they are accessible and we are going to root em' out and spoil them." Statements like that and, "Terror alert", "protection alert - code yellow, orange, staggering orange" and prefer statements are all "verbal terrorism", type of like yelling fireplace in a crowded theater....acceptable? So... Terrorism, terrorist, or using the "words" are a danger to the entire civilized international.they were meant to be...."there is not something to concern yet concern itself " ,

A threat to our national security is having weak borders. Also, poor port screening (recommended for strengthening in the 9/11 commission report).
Also, wars for no apparent reason that stretch our armed forces unnecessarily thin are a threat to our security. Ignoring important intelligence regarding imminent threats....
I could go on and on...
