Some people may get their attitude by having lack of work ethic.Maybe not lazy but not ever being taught to take pride in their work also sometimes even good workers get bad attitudes when they are not appreciated or paid poorly case in point me last week I was developing alot of resentment at my minunum wage job because I seemed to work very hard, and get treated like dirt.So I decided to quit and I put in my two weeks notice so I might get a good reference.Well the boss from corporate came to me and said what if we made you our new assistant manager?I about died.I got a huge raise and lots to learn but suddenly my attitude has changed.praising people is important let them feel like you appreciatte them it makes all the diffrence in the world. Some bosses criticize and freak out over everything. Also give people the sense that you know what your doing seem confident like you can solve any problem.not like you unsure and dont know anything. The most important is respect them but dont be buddy buddy.I mean you can have fun but probly best to keep work and private life aside or they may feel you favor people.

Most often, in my experience, it has to do with frustration about something. A bad boss who doesn't listen, a company which wants you to work 60 hours a week and get paid for 40, random-seeming changes in policies and procedures with little or not training or explanation.

Openness, honest communication, and concern for the employees can help turn it around - but this can be difficult and take a long time in a toxic environment.

Mainly bad management. I start a job with all the enthusiasm in the world and they systematically go about knocking the enthusiasm out of you bit by bit. One day I went in to work, nothing much going on so I asked for some jobs to do. Was told to 'disappear' i.e go and skive 'cos I can't be bothered to find you anything to do. Decided to find myself a job to do so I cleaned the staffroom from top to bottom, tidying up all the crp that workers and mangement had not cleaned up after themselves. When I had finished it was spotless.

2 weeks later I had an appraisal with the management. "we think you show poor housekeeping and don't work on your own initiative, " they said.

Idiots.

This is just one example of bad management. The 8 managers at this job couldn't manage to effectively do a job that I could have done on my own. Needless to say I am not there anymore.

And I'm not bitter! Honest!
