What next it is sad that Lemieux played the last day of his radiation treatment for Hodgeskins. Hey if they are good who cares? I mean it's not like they are a risk to the team or something. Yeah it's a shame the guy has it, it's a shame anyone gets a disease that isn't their fault like that.

Phil is a young guy so it was shocking, but he had the support of his team and family. They actually kept it under wraps until the treatment was over. Certainly wishing him all the best!

Phil Kessel is not the first NHL player either. Mario L. had it and I saw Koivu mentioned here as well.

Phil Kessel has been diagnosed with testicular cancer. However, he has been cancer free since December 16, 2006.

It's only 'sad' that life dumped this unnecessary affliction on him.

I hope he remains free of the cancer, (he and saku koivu, and mario lemieux and everyone else that isn't in the NHL).

maybe we should start ragging on the medical establishment and the drug companies in another section of 'Answers'. they can prevent and/or cure this crap by now.
go bruins !! and habs !!

Sad? How about great that he is now cancer free. He was diagnosed with cancer, had surgery, they got all of it and now he is back playing. That is great!!! Look at the positive, he beat it.

Gotta give it up for him. Reminiscent of what Mario Lemieux went through.
