I am not a prostitute, a girl at my school is. I got stuck with her for this class project and she told me all about it. She's a nice girl she is just heading in the wrong way, wat do u think?

First of all, it is never okay to be a prostitute. Second, you need to tell an adult. Tell your parents, the principal, school nurse, or teacher. They will know the correct steps that need to be taken in this situation. Do NOT try to handle this yourself. You are too young and do not know what can happen.

Of course being a prostitute at that age is dangerous, it's dangerous no matter what age you are. The best thing I can tell you is try and be a good friend to her, encourage her into activities in school, hang out with sometime talk to her about the dangers out there for her. Sometime people don't always come from a happy home, this suggest to me that there is something going on in her home life, that's making her choose to be out doing that. Sometimes having someone to talk to and that cares helps.I hope your the kinda of person that doesn't pass judgment on others and you are willing to try and be a friend to her,even if you feel it's not helping at least you tried.Try and encourage her to see a school counselor if you have them in your school, and it could be she's just telling you that for attention. So until you know that it's true, try and find out about her more in detail and try to direct her in another path. Good luck

I think that she needs to get some help from someone before she ends up in a body bag on 5th Ave. Thirteen year olds don't need to be out having sex for money, or even just be having sex. Too young to grow up and start a life at the very bottom of society. In fact, she should know that it is very illegal and that if she is caught by police, they do go undercover you know, she could get her parents into a lot of trouble or be sent to a foster home. It's not a glamorous life at all and she should really think about the repercussions of her actions. Tell her to talk to someone with authority like a school teacher or counselor...etc...

Did you hear it straight from her that she is doing this? Or is this just a cruel rumor that people are spreading around. When i was 16 people spread nasty rumors about my friend because she wouldn't put out to some guy. So don't believe everything you hear. But if you know for a fact that this is true you should talk to her about it, and really try to find her some help. Help her find a good job at a restaurant or something else she would like to do. No one WANTS to do this, sometimes people get pushed into it. I hope this is just a nasty rumor, and i hope it passes.

Yes because she runs the risk of getting a sexually transmitted disease that may kill her or make her infertile. She could also get HIV and possibly AIDS after that. She could become pregnant and end up being a very young mum or if she gets an abortion again, she might end up infertile or it might go wrong and she might die.
Let's say that one of these apart from her dying happens, there are long-term psychological impacts. Eventually she is going to really regret and it may lead to her life being ruined. It is best that she stops selling her body as soon as possible to try and minimise the risks and effects.
Let her know that there are many risks, some even life-threatening and that she deserves more than that.

It is AWFUL to be a prostitute, and WORSE if you are ONLY THIRTEEN YEARS OLD!!! For your friend's protection you should let the police know about this. There are guys that MURDER prostitutes - your friend is putting herself in EXTREME DANGER, not to mention the risk of getting diseases like AIDS. I don't know exactly what your friend's story is, but she needs to be protected for her own good - tell the police... NOW!

Yes it is bad. I mean there is STD, pregnancy all this at 13. That is a lot to handle at such a young age. That would be scary and hard to deal with. I would find out why she is doing it and see if you can help her out of the situation.

Wrong? It is seriously scary. You should help her by reporting it to someone who can steer her back into reality. If someone doesn't kill her, she will end up contracting a disease that will ultimately take her life. Please don't let her activities lure you into a change of your lifestyle. Jobs are a plenty, tell a guidance councellor or someone, get it off your plate.
