It's my time of the month, period. I have serious cramps. The only way I can feel better it's to lay down and sleep. But I can't sleep, I have to clean the house and study for my exam tomorrow. Any advice for me?

Eat Bananas ( IT WORKS). use a Heating pad or a hot washcloth. Take a pain releaver if you must. I had a test while having cramps and I lie my legs up against the wall with my back on the floor (right angle).

I have this problem so I take a couple of paracetamol, get a hot water bottle and lay on the affected area for a while, make sure you cover the hot water bottle with a cloth before putting on the skin.
( I do know that massage is very good for anyone suffering from cramp.) you could then gently in a clock wise direction massage your stomach it should help, it does me. hopefully within an hour you can get back to your studying. good luck and hope you get the results you want in your exam.

Try a heating pad while you are sitting, or study while laying on your stomach. House work is a (very mild) form of exercise, and may help your cramps. You could also throw in a few extra stretches while cleaning too. Stretching helps a lot. If neither work, try taking some Ibprofin (Motrin).

Actually, it is proven that exercise helps! If you don't have time to jog or something, just turn on some music while cleaning and dance! Maybe by the time you are studying for your exam, the cramps will have eased, just do the cleaning and dancing first!

Drink Hot water have a thermos with you when you are studying.
Don't eat a lot of salty food.
Forget about the house. I don't think you will be doing that with no pain. study your exam first.
Sit in a comfy chair.
Put a heating pad or thermal strips on your tummy.

Take a pain reliever every 4-6 hours to help with the cramping. Tylenol, Advil, Motrin, or even aspirin.

Take a pain reliever such as Midol, Tylenol, Advil, etc. Get some of those heating pads that you wear around, like the heattherapy ones that don't need to be plugged in.

I drink a lot of ginger tea just before I get my period and the first couple of days. It helps me with my cramps. Good luck.

You can use either a hot water bottle or i saw an advert on the tv whic are thermal strips which you stick to your stomach especially for period pain.
Also you could just take pain killers or see your doctor about them if they are really bad.
