Depends on the type of fit, even if it is only an absence it can take a good twenty minutes, also the person having the fit will be very tired as they will have adreneline rushing through their body to help protect it. Short term memory can be affected so if it happens to a student you can expect them to have lost the lesson previously and they may need support to catch up

It shouldn't take more than a few minutes, maybe longer depending on how severe the seizure was. Anything longer than that probably needs medical attention.
