he should not be drafted in the 1st round. i agree with you that he won the heisman because his team was ranked #1. there is no way he turns out to be the next brady. he should be in the 2nd or 3rd round. people here are saying its one bad game blah blah blah. it was one bad game that also happen to be the biggest game against a team that was clearly better. the SEC is such a better conference and it was obvious ohio state couldnt adjust to the speed of the gators. if troy smith couldnt adjust to fast college players, how the hell is he going to adjust to fast NFL players? he will get sacked more than the raiders QBs. winning the heisman is overrated, it means you did well in a college game with kids, it doesnt translate into the NFL game with grown men.

If Troy Smith doesn't go in the first round then I am shocked. I'm a HUGE Michigan fan and for the last four years I've watched Troy Smith pick apart talented Michigan teams. It's unfortunate that he didn't go out on the note he deserved with the loss to Florida in the National Championship. Hopefully the Lions will draft him because John Kitna sucks and so does the entire organization, but whoever says Smith should not go in the first round is stupid and doesn't understand how good this young QB is.

NO. Troy Smith isn't very good. Although he won the Heisman he doesn't deserve to be drafted first round at all. Hes a scrambler and scramblers don't last in the NFL because the NFL is all about how well you throw. Plus Troy Smith is small and size makes a difference. Plus OSU had an easy schedule not all easy because some big ten teams are decent but look how he played when he played a high caliber team like Forida.

Troy Smith is a good Qb but has nowhere near the Talent of the first two guys. He has good speed but not enogh to be a great double threat like Vick and Young. He will probaly get drafted by the Browns in the second round. They have no hope for winning so why not get some extra ticket sales by bringing in a hometown hero.

Co Big 10 Championship(although shouldn't have been because Penn State had the game stolen from them) and then Big 10 Champs the next year. That's a fluke? I know there is more to a team then the QB but they get the credit as leader of the team. I'd say those last two years are impressive. I don't think he will get drafted in the first round though. That is the size as well though. As to the one saying about him wanting to go to Cleveland I think that is a great place to go. It is a graveyard of QBs right? So if you do bad then people will say yeah you are playing for the Browns. It will help him when it is time for free agency. If he does good then people say wow he is doing good in Cleveland and he is more impressive.

No, troy smith will not be a 1st round pick. He is over-rated as a player and lacks the physical attributes to make an impact in the league. He will join the ranks of great college qbs who don't amount to anything in the league. Just a reminder, he lost to the Gators in the BCS national championship game.

No he's late 2nd or early 3rd round. I dont think he'll turn out like Tom Brady. Smith's style of play doesnt work in the NFL. He's not going to be able to scamble because he's not fast enough. He cant pass in the pocket cause he's too small. So he'll have to roll out and pass in the open field where he might complete some passes, but he's gonna get nailed. I see a couple of injury seasons for him and then him dropping back to a career back up.

Russell and Quinn are the top 2 talents at QB in this coming draft. Smith is just OK was compared to those two. I wouldn't be surprised to see him drafted by the Huston Texans, who will probaly get rid of David Carr in March. Don't expect him to be welcomed with open arms, though. The Huston fans will be pissed knowing they could have had Vince Young last year, who is developing into one of the next big stars. So yes, he will be drafted in the 1st round even though I don't think he is 1st round material.

Yes, I think that he should be drafted in the late first tound. So what he had one bad game, at the time of the Heisman trophy presentation, he had the best stats, and deserved to win. He had 30 tds as compared to 5 ints. That's pretty good. I think that he should be a late first round pick in the draft, with good potential. He is very mobile, but has a much better arm that Michael Vick. More accurate than Vince Young. I think Smith should be the third QB. Behind 1st pick J. Russell of LSU, and Brady Quinn of Notre Dame.

It's stupid really. If you have 1 bad game everyone looks back on it and just screams at you for that. I mean people look at all the other games he has done. He is defiantly a 1 round guy. he's good, strong and accurate. He really should be drafted in 1 round. but watch him not be drafted because people are to scared to look back at the other games after 1 bad slip up. 1 people. 1! and also nbqb7 so what if he's a scrambler, scramblers make it in the nfl. Vince Young, Micheal Vick, Donovan Mcnabb, Dante Culpepper, Steve Mcnair. All greats and good scramblers. So you can't say scramblers dont make it.
