Ensure to read the help function to make the most out of the restore. Note all documents etc will be remove past the date you wish to revert back to.

Troy is incorrect - you system makes it's own restore points every night.

A program called System restore on your PC. Go to Start menu, then Help & Support, in there under Pick a task, click on System restore. Follow the steps, & remember to not have any programs running while doing this. At the end, you will need to restart your computer for the restore to activate. You will lose no data or files.

What all the others say is OK , I just wanted to say that Documents are not lost when you do a restoration, anything that is saved like docs photos, music stays in the files, but if you have installed a Programme ( download ) in the last couple of days then that will disappear

Only if restore point exist. You will see bold date of check points which are available to restore.

Restore process goes this way>
Restart computer. Immediately after first screen press F8 (if you don't get it at first must try again with several time pressing ... until you got menu)
Chose Safe mode
wait for message to appears. Read it. Answer is no to go inside Restore process.

If you have WinXP you need to go to your start menu..then click all programs then accessories then system tools then system restore. it will then pull up a calender that you can choose what day you want your computer set back to

Check system restore as suggested - you may be lucky and have a few system checkpoints

to do this u would of had to of created a restore point....so im not sure its possible to do it now.....

I had to do this and it messed up my itunes and norton. be very careful.
