The earliest mathematical 'books' still existing are The Rhind Papyrus from Egypt and Babylonian geometric tablets, both dating from around 1650 BC

If so, no one knows; many ancient mathematical texts simply disappeared without trace. An ancient text which still is influential today is "Elements", by the Greek mathematician Euclid. In the sources, a link to an on-line version.

I think it's one of those greek philosophers/ mathematicians. try Euclid, Aristotle or Pythagoras.
