Absolutely...for first name you can choose anything you want. As for last name (which I believe is what you are asking) as long as you put him down as the father on the birth records you can use either your last name, his last name, or both last names hyphanated.

Is this a legal or moral question? Does the father have any interaction with the baby? Does the father live with you and the baby, have visitation rights, give child support? I know legally that you could give your son his fathers first name, however, if there is not proof(DNA)that his "father"is not his biological father, I do not think that the fathers last name would be legally binding without consent of the father. May I ask ,if you are not in a current relationship with this man,and the circumstances are never going to become that of a family type situation, Why would you want to give your son this mans name? I would give him(your son) his own individuality. If you are not too be married to this man, give your son your last name.

Yes you can. Is your relationship strong and you have no worries about the father.. if so sure you can. This will help too if you later were to marry the father, he would not have to adopt him to change the name. Good luck.

The choice to name your child after the father is your choice. I would let your relationship with the father be your guide. If you are happy and celebrating the birth then go for it. If he is angry and has dumped you then it would probably just cause strife in all of your lives.

You can in the states. If you are in Germany you have to give him your last name. First and middle name can always be what ever you want them to be.
Look into the local laws depending on where you are for a definite answer

You can name your baby anything you want, it's your decision. If the father claims the baby as his he has to sign paternity papers at the hospital, that's what you do if you are not married. Good luck with your new baby.

Yes of course you can. I'm not married to the father of my baby girl, but I'm still going to give her his last name. Good luck.

Yes you can, If you want you can even have him be a junior, but I wouldn't unless he is going to know his father.

You can name him anything you want. Seriously, you could name him after Mickey Mouse if you chose. His name does not have to correspond to either of his parents' names.
