I believe the global warming thing is some sort of cover up. I mean last week I saw Florida getting 40 degree tempretures. Whats up with that. I have always heard about them being pretty balmy. Global Warming my ***.

You mean the 9.5 feet of snow that fell because it was warm enough on the Great Lakes for a whole bunch of water to evaporate up into the atmosphere and then precipitate over New York when it hit the cold of the upper altitudes?

I'm not a lib but I answer this question whenever I can. Having a snowy winter is not an argument against global warming because global warming is not about your local weather. Global warming ONLY means the overall temperature of the entire Earth has risen a few degrees. This causes glacier and pole ice melt and El Nino like conditions. That's it. Doesn't matter whether it's a natural pattern or caused by humans, it's real. In fact, the extra snow could be due to the current El Nino, which we are having more of with global warming.
Hope that helps.

When they are having a heat wave in NYC this summer and people are dropping dead I want to hear your stance. And they almost always have at least one major heat wave there every year.

I am firmly against the idea that there is any proof of man made Global Warming at this point. With that being said, all you nitwits that keep using instances like this to prove your point are setting back the cause of people that want real scientific proof before we start any knee jerk, misguided solutions. Please stop.

Hey bunky. Attatched is a Picture of Niagra Falls taken in 1911. You might note the entire river, including the falls are frozen solid.

About that stinking 9.5 feet of snow you are crowing about?

As the planet warms, scientists know the air will hold more and more moisture. In the summer that means rain. What does rain do in the winter if it is colder than 32 degrees?

You just don't get it. The polar ice caps are melting. The snows on mountain tops like Mt. Fuji is melting. We will still get snow and ice but the warm spells are warmer than ever. There is a hole in the ozone and we don't have much time to fix it.

I live in NY and we have 2" of snow here where I live and total accumulations for the year are 3-4". We normally have more than that before December gets here. I guess that shoots your brain dead theory down.
