I'm looking for a really good Steakhouse in NYC. Personal preferences please, I can't always trust what they say in magazines and guides. Price does not matter, I'm willing to shell out a lot for a good piece of filet mignon!

I've eaten at a number of the top restaurants in NYC, including steakhouses. For my money Sparks was the best for quality, service, wines and atmosphere. The Filet was awesome.

The Old Homestead is the best one I've found. Ruth's Chris is just bad. Peter Luger's is totally overrated, although their bacon is the best I've ever had.
